Abstract
Background: Intracranial meningiomas during pregnancy are rare and pose unique challenges, particularly in balancing maternal neurological stability and safe obstetric anesthesia.
Case Presentation: We report the case of a 34-year-old primigravida with a high parietal parasagittal meningioma, well-controlled gestational diabetes mellitus, and gestational hypertension who underwent cesarean section under epidural anesthesia. The patient remained neurologically stable throughout pregnancy and had a favorable maternal and neonatal outcome.
Conclusion: This case highlights the importance of tailored anesthetic planning in pregnant women with intracranial space-occupying lesions. Epidural anesthesia offers a safe and controlled option in appropriately selected patients.
