##plugins.themes.academic_pro.article.main##
Abstract
With the global rise in the aging population, family physicians are at the forefront of managing complex and multifactorial health concerns in older adults. Geriatric screening plays a critical role in identifying early, often subtle, changes in health status that may significantly affect outcomes if left unaddressed. This review explores the rationale, methodology, challenges, and opportunities of geriatric screening in primary care. Evidence-based tools, domains of assessment, and future directions are discussed to provide a framework for effective integration into family medicine practice.
