Abstract
The aim of present study was to investigate the relationship between high-risk behaviours with parenting styles among the university students. The population in this study was all students, which we selected 150 students randomly with cluster sampling method. Research instruments were Bamerind parenting style questionnaire (1972), High-risk behaviour scale (IARS). The results of regression analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between high-risk behaviour of smoking and orientation to relationships and sexual behaviour with permissive parenting style, and high-risk behaviour of tendency to violence with despotic parenting styles. It can conclude that parenting style is a predictor of the prevalence of personality disorders and high-risk behaviour in students.
