Corona Virus Awareness in Pakistan: A Case Study

Abstract

The study is conducted to observe the awareness among the people about the Corona virus disease 2019 COVID-19. The data is collected from the educated individual of Pakistan consisted of 538 individualswherefrom we received the response of 213 individuals of Pakistan. A questionnaire consists of information related to COVID-19 is collected via online service such as WhatsApp Messenger. Results shows that 100% individuals know about the precautions of COVID-19,83% persons know about the symptoms,92% persons know about the source,58% individuals know about the mortality rate, 75% person know that there is no treatment available against corona virus disease and 83% individuals know that the vaccine against corona virus is not prepared yet. It was concluded that majority of Pakistan populations aware about the corona virus and this happened just because of Government of Pakistan and other organizations who were working for the welfare of human beings. But still there is a minority of Pakistani who did not aware about corona virus and there is a need to aware them about this virus.
